2021 Salsa Warbird Gravel Bike

Last week we saw the release of the 2021 Salsa Warbird Gravel Bike line-up and we are a little late to the party, don’t worry though, we have the details below and you can even pop over to the Salsa website to learn more. Frame geometry and design seem to remain unchanged with all the changes coming in the form of specs and components. Below we take a look at a few of their models starting with their flagship SRAM Force AXS build. Images and specs courtesy of Salsa Cycles.

Salsa Warbird Carbon AXS Wide

Truly centerfold worthy, the Salsa Warbird Carbon AXS Wide is their top-of-the-line gravel bike. The carbon frame features their Class 5™ VRS, designed to cut down on the harsh bumps that take a toll on your body. Warbird’s geometry emphasizes stability and comfort, for a smooth ride feel you’ll be thankful for on long days in challenging conditions. Plentiful frame and fork mounts mean you can bring everything from extra bottles to bike-packing gear on those epic adventures. SRAM’s AXS Wide group provides a wide-range 2 x 12 system with the beauty of wireless shifting. Saddle up and chase podiums or simply escape the hectic daily grind on some back road adventures.

Salsa Warbird Carbon AXS Wide retails for $6,999.00.

The Salsa Warbird Carbon Apex 1 is perfect for those dipping their toes in the gravel scene. The 2021 models will be available in the two colors shown and feature the ever-popular SRAM Apex 1X drive train. The rear cassette is SRAM’s PG11330 11-42T and is matched with the Apex 42t crankset. Warbird GRX 810

We didn’t want to leave out the Shimano fans! The GRX 810 model features a mechanical Shimano 2X drive train with the GRX 46/31T range matched with a 11-34T 11 speed rear cassette. Shifters are also GRX 810 hydraulic units. Wheels feature DT Swiss G 1800 Spline wheels with 42mm Teravail Cannonball tires. Retail on the Warbird Carbon 810 GRX is $4299 USD.

Salsa Warbird Frameset

Salsa also offers the Warbird as a frameset on their website and it retails for $2,099. A great option for those wanting to upgrade from an aluminum or steel frame and not splurge on new components.
